Two (related) reasons: firstly, we take the protection of your personal information seriously, and want to safeguard you from unsolicited spam or abuse.
Secondly, while Primary Care Exchange is a closed network of peers, and thus inherently self-policing to some degree, part of our duty of care is to ensure that conversations take place within the moderated confines of the system. While your conversations are private unless you choose to disclose them, having a record of exchanges can help in cases where there are accusations of harassment or inappropriate behaviour.
